Behind every good school, is an amazing school nurse to ensure the health and well-being of our students, staff and community. And we have one of the best at Fall City Elementary! Nurse Katie is the first person a student thinks to go to when they don’t feel well or have been hurt. She provides a wealth of information that supports a successful education. Thank you, Nurse Katie for keeping our Falcons healthy so that they are eager and ready to learn! Plant A Tree! Thanks to the generosity and tenacity of our amazing Mrs. Handy, our FCES Falcons were able to bring home a tree to plant in honor of Earth Day! This tradition was started years ago by Mrs. Handy and as you can see from the excited faces of Ms. Nicholson’s fifth graders, a favorite tradition for all!! School Lunch Hero Day School Lunch Hero Day is a wonderful opportunity to express gratitude to the unsung heroes who work tirelessly in school cafeterias. Thank you, Mr. Troy and Ms. Cheryl, for all you do to ensure that our Falcons have nutritious food daily. Happy Lunch Hero Day! Happy May Day! "Happy May Day!" sang FCES third graders as they brought kindness and color to our Fall City neighbors. Smiles greeted our students, as residents were presented with bunches of flowers and greetings of joy. Thank you to all the volunteers who created the beautiful floral arrangements and chaperoned our Falcons. What a delightful way to celebrate the beginning of May! More Photos Glowing Science Fair Our Falcon community turned out, rolled their sleeves up, and thoroughly enjoyed the Glowing Science Fair. The school was full of excitement as students showed off their science projects, created glow slime, had fun with the glow stick creation station, VR with Mr. Lamprecht, and learned about salmon, reptiles, insects, and so much more. A HUGE shout out to Science Fair extraordinaire Brittany Dansereau, the Fall City Elementary PTSA, and all the wonderful volunteers for making this community event a success! More Photos The Zaniac Performance Our amazing PTSA brought Alex Zerbe’s (known as The Zaniac) Gravity Catastrophe assembly, to the entire school. The Zaniac, demonstrated scientific principles, while inspiring and exciting kids about the joys of physics by combining music, dance, and juggling in a way that was both entertaining and educational. As you can see from the photos, students were enthralled and totally engaged! More Photos Salmon Fry Release Our third-grade Falcons (and Kahu) had an exciting adventure as they released the school’s salmon fry at Lake Sammamish State Park. This was a tremendous experience with Sound Salmon Solutions. Our falcons have been busy learning about the salmon’s life cycle. Experiences like these make learning come alive and foster a deeper connection to the environment. Kudos to everyone involved for making it a memorable and impactful event for our Falcons!
